Are you? Is money their only real reward for coming to your offices? If this statement makes you get a knot in your stomach, then read through this whole article.

Firstly, I want to tell you it is not your fault! The modern business philosophy is rigged to make a person very impersonal and very ?professional?, when operating in the business world. Professional distance is actually lauded. Being detached and not being personal is promoted as best business practice. Thus creating the idea that employees are just cogs in a wheel.

?A workman is not just a workman. A laborer is not just a laborer. An office worker is not just an office worker. They are living breathing important pillars on which the entire structure of our civilisation is erected. They are not cogs in a mighty machine. They are the machine itself.? L. Ron Hubbard

Your staff ARE your company. People ARE your company and should be treated as if they are the most important thing...which they are! Even you too are ?people? and should get just as much consideration and care as everyone else. You should not be left to shoulder everything all on your own and at the end of the year EVERYONE gets a bonus 13th check. There should be an atmosphere of all for one and one for all.

So probably it is time to seek a new business philosophy to follow. A business philosophy that should seek to include all of ?life? and living-ness. Not a siloed technology that only works at the office and cannot be transferred to the home or even to friendships. The business philosophy you need to find must deliver on ALL of life. What you do at the office must be valid to do at your home and even must be valid to do with friends. Now the problem is that most people feel overwhelmed as to where to look, to find such a complete philosophy. Not like how it is now, a bit from this book and a bit from that book? Well maybe you can start here.

Firstly, question our modern business management culture? Is it a good culture or a toxic culture? Is it a sterile culture, devoid of being ?human? so much so that you would never dare to transfer it into your home or any meaningful friendship for fear it would kill those relationships? Now that is food for thought.

Well, there is a business technology found in the works of L. Ron Hubbard that will blow you away and make you ?human? again and yet still leave you as a boss to be reckoned with. It is a whole body of knowledge that will rejuvenate your old dreams and goals of what you always thought a business should be like. And better still make you able to attain them without alteration.
